Spring was the season of new beginnings. Flowers and romance were blooming and the excitement of Summer was looming. At least for Tamryn Davidson it was. Her Junior year at Barredale Christian Academy was coming to an end and the potential for Spring love filled the air, more than she could have imagined.

Her recent high school crush was constantly on her mind except when the new stranger in town was within view.

As she balances school, friends, family and her Christian life, Tamryn confronts life as a teenager with her heart being tugged in opposite directions.

            “Excuse me,” he said politely. “Are you ok?”
            His apology snapped her back to reality and she replied, “Yes, I am, thanks.” He was handsome. His dark hair peeked out the front of his knit hat and his full eyebrows were cleanly shaped but not manicured. His facial hair had grown in a little but enough to tell it was also dark in color.  He wore a plain black tee, hooded fleece and jeans. He was not tall and not short. The perfect height she thought

She could hear the roar of the engine above her music and waited for the driver to drive past, but instead he motioned her to cross.
            She crossed the street quickly, but couldn’t help but turn back to look at the driver who seemed to be burning a whole into her back through his all black helmet. She turned slowly hoping to not make herself seem obvious, but to no avail. He was staring straight at her. His helmet prevented her from seeing his face and his leather jacket and gloves hid his neck and hands from her view. She couldn’t see any of him.
             He revved his engine and then drove off speedily. She watched him until she couldn’t see him anymore trying to figure out what had just happened. She walked all the way home leisurely;
