You may be saying, “Ed, I have life insurance, disability insurance, mortgage insurance and the best health insurance on the planet. So please tell me: WHY do I need this Cancer, Heart Attack, Stroke plan, also known as critical illness insurance?” My response is this: Follow me through the next few chapters and I will explain how this cancer, heart attack, stroke plan fits in with each of the different types of insurance you mentioned.
Before I take you on that journey, let me give you this teaser. The critical illness plans provide an intangible that we feel very strongly about and that is PEACE OF MIND. When the mind is at peace you are more likely to accept changes, treatments and stresses in a more favorable light. Even without the stress of an illness, you know that life is much better when you are not worrying about where the money is coming from to pay the bills.
Remember, if you are diagnosed with a covered illness the benefit check comes directly to you and you use it as you choose.
