This book is for anyone who has ever gone through a challenge that has rocked his or her world. It is for people who are healthy and need a reminder to take care of themselves and enjoy every moment of their “now.”
If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer or any other disease, or love someone who has, this book is also for you. And yes, it is even for educators, the medical community, healers, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies, so they can get a patient’s perspective of a journey they know all too well from the professional side.
No one knows what it’s like to walk the breast cancer path unless she or he has walked in those same shoes. Everyone’s experience is different. This is mine. I found strength, peace, and purpose in my healing journey. I have a deep sense of mission to share what I learned and help those who will walk a similar path.
In The Cancer Dancer, you will find very specific patient-to-patient and caregiver tips and advice that will help make the journey easier and more comfortable for you, from the day of diagnosis until the end of treatment. I used traditional healing methods but you’ll also learn a little about some alternative ones that worked for me, too.
If you’re inspired, I hope you’ll read my story. Or, if you just want the basic information, you can skip to the back for the Patient-to-Patient and Caregiver Tips section.
My hope is that you unearth gems scattered throughout the pages that will help you heal better, faster, and more empowered so you can live your best new life during and after cancer.
When someone hears the words “you have cancer,” it is a diagnosis for the entire family and the closest of friends. You will all travel this healing journey together. It can be a beautiful time to bond, heal, and discover new blessings in your life if you make the decision to do so.
And yes, I danced through cancer. I dance through everything in life. It’s my passion. It’s what makes me happy. So this wasn’t any different. Of course, my dance was a very slow one at times, but it was a dance.
Whatever portion of my book you read, I hope you find healing, peace of mind, joy, and information that will help you on your own healing journey. I send you love, light, blessings, and wishes for many magical moments in your life.
