“Thanks for protecting me tonight.” Sharon tried a smile.

Sharon breathed in his scent. Warmth and musk. Masculine. Her gaze
drifted to his lips. Firm and full. He was Temptation. Sharon lifted her

tenderness. He pressed his mouth against hers and she opened for him.
Matthew nipped at her lips as though sipping her. Stroked his tongue
into her mouth as though tasting her. She felt like she was dessert.
Sharon pressed herself tighter against him. He wrapped his arms around
her and straightened, lifting her with him. Her feet left the ground and
she clung to his broad shoulders. Their sweat mingled and his musky
scent fogged her brain. She trembled as his hard, wet muscles strained
against her. He opened his mouth wider and took the kiss deeper.
Her mind was spinning with the smell and feel of him. An ache was
building inside her, and Sharon dug her fingertips into Matthew’s
shoulders to relieve the pressure.
Too soon, her inner voice shouted. Even as her body arched into his, her
mind warned her, he doesn't know me yet.
Sharon pulled her lips from Matthew’s and knew the pain of separation.
He looked as dazed as she felt. “Matt.” Her voice quavered. “Put
