Frustrated with traditional mainstream publishers she formed Lady Leo Publishing in September 2004. LLP is an independent electronic publishing company specializing in publishing Confessions, Short Stories, and Novellas. In June (2005) she was voted BEST NEW DRAMA & FICTION OF THE YEAR for her debut novel, ‘IN THE NAME OF LOVE’ by the DLNA (Disilgold Literary National Association). In (2006) she earned a YOUnity Guild Award for: New Romance Author of the Year. That same year she earned an Editor’s Choice Award from the YOUnity Book Club for the novel; ‘It’s In The Rhythm’. She was also recognized as a Literary Diva in Heather Covington best- selling novel: Literary Diva: The Top 100+ African- American Women in Literature. In 2007 the novel was nominated for a NAACP Image Award. That same year, YOUnity Guild of America: presented her an award for: Most Outstanding Female Self Publisher for her novel ‘7 Days’
