Gil Alligood is retired from the United States Air Force (Colonel) and retired from a career in engineering. He grew up on a farm in Eastern North Carolina. His first novel "The Devil's Pace" is set in his youthful culture in the area where he grew up. He received his BS in Civil Engineering from NC State University and a Master's Degree from The University of Pittsburgh. He was a pilot in the USAF where he flew in many countries around the world. He flew in Viet Nam and other areas of national conflict. His most recent novel "Dark Paths to Light" calls on that experience to write a story of international intrigue and danger. He currently lives in Washington, NC and writes from his home office.
