The Olive Picker is Kathryn’s first full-length novel. She has previously written Solitaire, a short story that was published in The McGuffin magazine in 2006. Her short stories Hot Lips and Runners were both accepted for on-line publications in 2005 and 2009 respectively. Kathryn lives in a little log cabin in Colorado. During the previous three years she lived in India and Singapore and wrote a travel blog reporting on the second half of her life, which featured the humorous aspects of travel and other issues. One of those letters, Naked Guy, was published in her hometown Colorado newspaper, The Mountain Connection, in 2013. Kathryn happily retired when she and Peter moved to India, and she is pursuing her lifelong love of writing. She hopes, through her writing, to give hope to people who find themselves in situations of abuse, wherever they are in their journey.
