I've been writing since I was old enough to hold a crayon and reach a wall.
I wrote my first book in the Fifth grade and sold it to classmates for 10 cents a pop. That made me a professional writer! In middle school I published my own monthly satire magazine at home and sold it to classmates. In high school I was reporter, photographer and cartoonist for the school newspaper. I continued my pursuit of English, journalism and creative writing in college.
My first libertarian writing came when I joined the Libertarian Party of Minnesota and took over editorship of their internal newsletter which I renamed The Minnesota Libertarian and eventually turned it into a four-to-eight page tabloid-sized outreach newspaper distributed to 100 members, subscribers, public libraries and other recipients.
For the next two decades I concentrated on actually making a living by pursuing a career as a freelance contract technical writer producing operation, maintenance, repair, and software end user manuals and related documentation for clients around the country.
I've been writing libertarian-oriented news and commentary for online and print media since 2000 under various guises such as NewsGuy, Loose Cannon Libertarian, From Reason to Freedom, Self Syndication, Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, Dallas Libertarian Examiner and Libertarian News Examiner.
My first book was "Selected Salvos from the Loose Cannon Libertarian" published in 2014, followed by the current "Selected Salvos 2," both available in paperback, ePub and Kindle formats at Amazon. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
