Storytelling inspires Jeffrey Gorney's work. His memoir, Mysterious Places, tells how family stories shape us, and first book, Syracuse University: Architectural Guide, tells the stories behind the buildings, After degrees in Film and Theater from New York University, Gorney worked as an actor, copywriter,for such publishers as HBO, Bantam, and Random House, and abridger of audio books (Les Miserables, no less.) .Gorney lives in Syracuse, NY where he is involved in urban revitalization. His articles and photos have appeared in the Syracuse Post-Standard, Encyclopedia of New York State, and civic and cultural websites and periodicals. He is film curator at ArtRage Gallery.
