Carly van Heerden
Carly van Heerden was born in England and raised in South Africa. Her love for story-telling is considered an inherited trait. Her great-grandmother, Violet Godfrey, featured in Arts - including on-stage in the theatrical production of Madame Butterfly. Spurred by her highly-imaginative family she began by first writing fantasy stories about talking animals. Carly lives in Sedgefield, South Africa, along the Garden Route where the breathtaking Outeniqua Mountain Range meets the warmer waters of the Indian Ocean. Considered one of the most beautiful parts of the world, the Garden Route and its magnificent fauna and flora keep Carly inspired, day in and day out. She lives with her husband, her son, and her four-legged family; a Greyhound, Whippet and Black Labrador.
